Ways to Pick the Perfect Wedding Music

Picking just the right music for your wedding day might seem like a daunting task, and quite frankly, it can be. What we really need to do to make sure that this part of planning your wedding is not too overwhelming to break it into small pieces to manage the music set.

processional song

Start with the beginning of your wedding event - your wedding procession song (s). You'll need to select two or three songs for this part of the festivities. Processional songs will be required to:

bridal train (ie, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, etc.) enter the church
    Bride of the church entrance
groom entrance to the church (if he decides not to "enter stage left" and wait at the altar, or if he decides to walk his mother down the aisle)

processional songs are usually more traditional songs and classical music, and of course, most people are familiar with : "Here comes the bride" . That does not mean yours has to be cookie-cutter wedding, however. Today, brides and grooms are choosing the more alternative genres of music. Your wedding is a happy and joyous occasion, so if you and the entire wedding party feel like dancing down the aisle, but as a solemn procession then by all means, go for it!

Unity Candle Ceremony Songs

If you will be lighting the unity candle, then here is where you want to choose a song that "unity" theme. Not everyone has the unity candle ceremony, and certainly do not need to have one if you want, but if so, then the character in the song for this or else your guests will see and light candles in silence. This part of the festivities will be a good time to be vocally talented family member, friend or a professional singer to do a special live song. Choose wisely.

let's start at the reception following.

wedding entrance songs

This is more than likely that the people in your wedding thrilled that you and your honey are now officially married. They will probably want to dance of joy ... So let them! Select songs and upbeat songs that will get your guests excited and hyped up too much.

Consider using music that can be danced to a very simple, something attractive, so that others at the front desk could not help but groove to the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

first dance songs

All your guests will be looking forward to this, because everyone wants to see a new couple danced their first dance. Here again, you can choose to go the traditional route by selecting the waltz. Or you can choose to go with the modern trend and entertaining dance number choreographed to today's music.

Some couples choose to spoof your guests, starting with a waltz or something romantic and slow, then pretend that there is chaos, with music, then all of a sudden "bust a move" to hip-hop type of song.

mother-son and father-daughter Dance Songs

Here's where and when you can (and probably will) is as mushy as you want. May you bring the whole reception hall to tears, especially if you are sentimental songs, but of course it is not your primary goal. Think about your relationship with a parent, you will be dancing with. Are there any songs that the appropriate way to express that? Or maybe you want to choose a song that reflects the date of transition from one life phase to another. How about picking a song that shows gratitude to parents for all the sacrifices they have for you support, their love, etc.
